The Shogun brand was founded by our highly experienced team after years of research and testing. It is a sub-brand of Nanoproof Solutions which specializes in sourcing and testing the latest materials for architectural and automotive uses.
Our team reached out to the top chemical producers of thermoplastic polyurethane from around the world and started testing over fifteen paint protection films in 2019 which included some of the top brands in the industry. The films were put to the test and were exposed to Dubai’s harsh climate and extreme UV index on a daily basis.
Performing lab tests and analyzing spec sheets can only take you so far and in some cases can be very misleading. Testing how the film performs under real world conditions and environmental factors over a long period of time is an essential step.
Shogun X8 was carefully selected after undergoing extensive practical testing that was conducted by our automotive arm based in Dubai since 2019. Fifteen paint protection films which included some of the top brands in the industry were put to the test. The films were exposed to Dubai’s harsh climate and extreme UV index on a daily basis. Shogun outperformed competing films as it maintained its quality, clarity, self-healing properties and gloss throughout the environmental exposure testing phase.
Moreover, the film’s patented top coat achieved superior results on gloss level tests, self-healing tests, water beading, and stain resistance tests which were conducted every quarter throughout the testing period.
The Paint Protection Films below have been installed on the same panel and were exposed to harsh weather conditions for 20 consecutive months continuously. The weather conditions during the aforementioned time period were as follows:
